Early life and introduction to music
Mikha’s early life was filled with music, thanks to her father. From a young age, she loved singing along with him during karaoke sessions. This leisure activity helped pique her interest in singing, even though she did not participate in singing competitions. Mikha’s family moved several times during her childhood, living in Saint Rosa, Laguna and Silang, Cavite, before settling in San Juan City, Metro Manila.

In high school, Mikha joined her school’s cheerleading team. This experience taught her cheer dancing, tumbling, and flexibility. These skills laid the foundation for her future in the performing arts.
Admission to Star Hunt Academy
In 2018, Mikha auditioned for the Star Hunt auditions in Quezon City. Out of 250 candidates, she was selected to join the 5-day boot camp and later became a trainee at the Star Hunt Academy in early 2019. At SHA, Mikha developed her singing and dancing skills under the guidance of Filipino voice coaches Kitchie Molina and Anna Graham and dance coaches Mickey Perz and Matthew Almodovar.
Mikha also underwent intensive training in Korean practice and the discipline of singing and dancing with the help of MU Doctor’s Academy. This training helped her hone her skills and prepare for a professional career in music.

As a trainee, Mikha participated in various public performances. She performed at ABS-CBN mall shows and events, including the 2019 National Youth Commission program FITFIL: Youth Against Drugs, where she was recognized as a youth ambassador. She also performed at the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games thanksgiving ceremony.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mikha and her co-trainees continued their training at Camp Star Hunt to ensure their safety. This period of intense training helped them connect with each other and focus on their growth.
Becoming a member of BINI
On October 10, 2020, Mikha graduated from Star Hunt Academy as one of the final eight members of girl trainees. She was officially announced as a member of the idol group BINI. In November 2020, BINI released her pre-debut single “Da Coconut Nut”, marking the beginning of her journey in the music industry.
Mikha and her fellow BINI members performed “Da Coconut Nut” and other song and dance covers on various ABS-CBN entertainment shows, including It’s Showtime, ASAP Natin ‘To, and Magandang Buhay. These performances helped them gain fame and build a fan base.
